Fancy a new helmet?

Red Dog Motorcycles is a chain of motorcycle outlets based in Kent and West Sussex. They supply and service many famous marques of motorcycles including MV Agusta, CCM, Benelli, Husqvarna and Victory.

Although Digital Ink first built a web site for them three years ago, we were asked to build a shop to sell motorcycle helmets, boots and clothing online. We decided to rebuild the site as well! The new site sells leather jackets from Orange County Choppers (as seen on the MTV programme) and Powertrip, Joe Rocket race leathers, Daytona motorcyle boots, Nolan, x-lite and Schuberth.

The site has a built in site map in html and also a Google site map in xml. The site maps are automatically updated when a page or a product is added or updated. This allows Google to "spider" the site as required. The net result was that within a week of the site going live the Red Dog site was appearing at the top of page 2 in a Googe search for "Joe Rocket".

Sales on the site for May have already equalled the clothing sales for the entire previous year for Red Dog with orders from afar afield as the USA and the Philippines.
